We finally received a response from the NYC DOT regarding the traffic light at Bay 23rd Street and Cropsey Avenue.

Thank you to everyone who spoke up and helped bring attention to this issue. We’ll keep pushing for a safer community.

Your Safety is My Priority!

When residents raise concerns, action should follow. A dangerous sinkhole was brought to our attention and was addressed quickly through collaboration with city agencies, community leaders, and local residents. Keeping neighborhoods safe and responsive to residents’ needs is what public service is all about.

Our community deserves better than outdated trains on the Ⓓ and Ⓝ lines. We need newer, safer, and more reliable service, and when I’m elected to the State Senate, I’ll fight to replace older trains and deliver the improvements our neighborhoods deserve.

Creating programs that make a real difference. Local youth are earning money while helping clean and beautify our neighborhood. A cleaner community, valuable work experience, and opportunities for our young people — that’s a win for everyone.

📦 90,000 packages are stolen or lost across NYC every single day, and our older buildings without secure mailrooms are hit the hardest. The city already has a fix: LockerNYC, now expanding to 70 locations citywide. But most of SD-17, Bensonhurst, Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights, Bath Beach, Gravesend, still has none. I will be fighting to bring LockerNYC to our neighborhoods.

🚧 A dangerous pothole was reported on West 4th Street. I visited the site myself and am working with NYC DOT to get it fixed. Thank you to the residents who brought this issue to my attention. Together, we’ll keep our community safe.

Right now, New York State law treats a one-person bodega and a 99-employee company as the exact same size business. Same rules, same fines, same everything. I would introduce a legislation to create a real microbusiness category, for businesses with 10 employees or fewer, with targeted grants and support. Our smallest businesses deserve rules that actually fit them!

Accessibility isn’t optional. Every New Yorker deserves a subway system that works for everyone — seniors, parents with strollers, and people with disabilities. We’ve waited long enough. It’s time for real accountability.🚇♿️
